Communication is much more than just talk. Our patterns of behaviour communicate our personal preferences and our priorities in life. (www.thecouncil.org)

Communication includes various acts of behaviour such as gestures, eye contact, facial expressions, vocalizations, aggression, self-abuse, speech, writing, drawing, and the use of sign language, picture symbols and simple and complex communication devices.

In order to communicate we need to have something to communicate about. Our lives need to be filled with people and activities that we wish to share information about with others.

Without people and activities in our lives we have little to communicate about and may become isolated and lonely.

Natural Abilities assists persons with developmental disabilities to communicate with others and participate in activities in their community.
